 Teenagers Take the Gospel to the Seattle Streets

Foursquare Church, has teenagers that are on fire for

 

God. They have a team of teenagers called The God

 

Squad. The God Squad is a street evangelism drama

 

team.  They go out once/month to various locations in

 

downtown Seattle to spread the Gospel.   

The God Squad, which consists of 17 teenagers ranging from 
5th-9th grade, perform mimes, skits, and dances, 
followed by open air evangelism. Their first street outing was on Saturday, January 17th at the Victor Steinbruck
 Park by Pike Place Market. “At first, there weren’t too many people around, but as we turned on our music, 
the park quickly became full of people.  Some would sit and watch, others would just pass by.  But the Gospel 
is getting spread on the city streets. We know of at least 2 people that came to know Christ that day and many
 others received prayer. And of course, many seeds were planted that we never may know the full effect of,” 
said Hope Kerkof, the Director of The God Squad. “Seattle has been traditionally so outspoken against 
Christians, its time for us to stand up in what we believe in, speak out, and spread the Good News as Jesus 
commissioned us to.” 
 On Saturday, February 7th, at the Waterfront Park next to the Aquarium in downtown Seattle, from 11am-1pm,
The God Squad will be ministering to the people of Seattle again.  Anyone is welcome to attend. 
 West Seattle’s newest high school expansion is at Shorewood Christian School.   They will be having an Open
 House on February 10th from 8:30am -3pm.   The early enrollment process for the 2009-2010 school year has 
begun.  The school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is approved by
 the State of Washington.  Shorewood Christian School is open to many denominations with over 20 churches 
represented in their student body and staff.
