Help for Haiti:
 
Madison Kipley in 2nd grade is helping those in Haiti by selling photo cards for $1 each and making cookies.  So far Madison has brought in $70 for Haiti.  The cards
have pictures of Seattle
and Alki. You may purchase her cards in the office if you would like to support her.

Field Trips
1st Grade: Tuesday, March 2, 10:00 - 3:00 PM  Students are going to the Flight Museum.
 
2nd & 4th Grade: Tuesday, March 2, 9:15 - 12:30 PM  Students are going to the Meydenbauer Theater to see Bodyology - a musical about health by Slim Goodbody.

  Hollywood Video has filed for bankruptcy - We will no longer be selling the cards and they have suggested  you use any gift cards soon.

Thursday's Coffee & Jam
From 8:00 - 8:20 a.m. you are invited to purchase a latte or hot chocolate up at the coffee cart and listen to students Darren Morris, Jonathan Albers, and Moshe Henderson jam on their guitars!
 
Next Spirit Day: Comfy Day!   Friday, February 26th
Students may come dressed in their pajamas, robes, sweats, slippers, etc.  The outfit must be modest!  Bring your teddy bear, pillow, and other things that make you feel comfy.
 
 ACSI Speech Meet  Friday, February 26, 11:00 - 4:00 PM
 Student going to the Speech Meet may come dressed in their comfy clothes and change into their chapel clothes -(no sweatshirts) or costume before leaving.
 
 
ramseyDave Ramsey, Financial Peace University Class
This is a 13 week video course on Wednesday nights from 6:45 - 8:30 p.m.  Classes will start on March 3rd and ends on June 4th.  Are you on the fence about joining this class?  You are invited to attend the first class on March 3rd and then decide.  Please sign-up in the office if you will be coming even if it is just for the one class.
 
Let Dave show you how money really works from budgeting and dumping debt to building wealth and giving in his proven class. Cost is $93.  You may sign up in the school office or call Janet Storms at 206-932-0186.  Childcare is available and JoAnn Hernandez will be teaching a Bible class to the 4th & 5th graders.  If the cost of the class is holding you back, please talk to Sue Cross about financial assistance.
 
Philanthropizza.   Thursday & Friday, March 4th & 5th
Please join us at California Pizza Kitchen for this 4th Grade Mission Project Fundraiser.  You will need to bring in the flyer (they have been sent home) on the scheduled date and present it to your server when ordering. More flyers are available in the school office. 20% of your check will be given to the Mission Project!  So come out and enjoy a yummy meal with us at California Pizza Kitchen on Andover Park West in Tukwila!
 

Women's Breakfast "Unmasked" at Shorewood Foursquare

Ladies, please join us for a continental breakfast, lattes, and four inspirational speakers.  Childcare for birth - 6th grade is available.

Your Invitation Has Been Mailed!
 
Tickets are $30 each which includes a catered dinner from Longhorn Barbecue.  This event is at the Normandy Park Cove. It will be a great night out.  Invite your friends and family!  Tickets can be purchased in the school office. 
 
Thank you to all the parents who have brought in donations! 
We appreciate all the help with the class baskets but we need additional procurements as well.  Ask your hairstylist, your favorite restaurant or people who have season tickets to a sporting event if they would donate a couple of tickets.  
 
We are excited about the donations coming in.  Some of the highlights include:
 a Friday - Sunday stay at a beautiful cabin at Mount Baker, $100 gift certificate to El Gaucho's Restaurant, 3 - autographed matted 8x10 photographs of Ichiro, Felix Hernandez, and Ken Griffrey Jr. taken by Seattle Mariners Team Photographer Ben VanHouten, piano lessons, and more!

Aug 23-28 Kids (4-6th)


The cookie dough fundraiser will start on March 28th ending April 20th. The dough will be available for pick up on May 11th after school. The tubs of dough are $12 and pre-portioned cookie dough is  $14. The seller gets 40% toward their camp expense.

The boys 4/5th grade and 6th grade basketball and the 5/6th grade girls basketball season has begun!  Game schedule available in the school office!
